As the Savior sits at the well, he asks a Samaritan woman for water.  She does not recognize him as the Messiah until after he teaches her about “living water.”  “But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give, him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.”  (John 4:14)  The Samaritan woman was blessed to have been able to serve the Savior, and be taught about eternal life at his feet.  This Bas Relief shows the Savior in the attitude of teaching as he gently explains the principle of eternal life.
